ALVOR ESTUARY

This estuary creates a coastal lagoon system, which is generated by the confluence of four river streams originating from the Monchique Mountains. A variety of habitats in a relatively small area provides it with rare ecology and beautiful scenery and represents an important migration place for numerous bird species.
